To our Midland College Family and wider Midland community, I have to give it to you. You did more than your part. You filled the Chap Center, you raised the energy, and you reminded everyone in the building what Chap pride looks like. The atmosphere was electric, and it was impossible not to feel it.

Midland College will host a Military Appreciation Night during the Chaps men's basketball game against New Mexico Military Institute on Monday, Jan. 19, celebrating the service and sacrifice of military veterans and their families.

Midland College invites the community to connect, learn, and explore new interests through Café Connect, a series of free, one-day interactive workshops designed to encourage personal growth, creativity, and meaningful connection. Open to the public, these sessions offer hands-on experiences led by knowledgeable facilitators in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

When people talk about careers in the skilled trades, the conversation almost always starts and too often ends with one question. "What does it pay in the first year?" It's a fair question. But it's also the wrong place to stop.
