What is the Permian Basin Law Enforcement Academy?

The Permian Basin Law Enforcement Academy (PBLEA) is a division of the Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission (PBRPC). The PBRPC serves a 17-county region in West Texas, and has been licensed to operate a regional law enforcement academy for over 42 years. The goal of the PBLEA is to provide quality training to law enforcement personnel and jailers.

These training efforts not only provide Basic Peace Officer Courses and Basic County Corrections Courses to our regional law enforcement officers and jailers, but also help maintain licensing requirements and improve the expertise of current law enforcement professionals within our region.
