This event is designed to empower first-generation college students by providing valuable resources, networking opportunities, and insights from those who have navigated the challenges of higher education.

As part of the college's celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Dr. Hernández will explore the late nineteenth-century movement that relocated Tejano families back to Mexico, highlighting how this process of autocolonization differs from traditional settler colonization.
