For the past three summers, Ethel Matthews has worked with Texas Parks and Wildlife and Texas Master Naturalists dove banding to collect data about a parasite. Back on campus, she prefers traditional classroom teaching as student feedback regarding topics is immediate. The feedback lets her know more about comprehension of the material and student interests. This allows her to clarify presentations and engage students more successfully.
