Midland College recently hosted an inspiring installment of the Davidson Distinguished Lecture Series at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center, featuring NASA Astronaut José Hernández. A full crowd of community members, including students from local high schools, colleges, and the Midland Independent School District, along with MC faculty and staff, gathered to hear Hernández share his remarkable journey from the fields of California as a migrant farm worker to the vast expanse of outer space as an astronaut.
Midland College announces a significant milestone in its history, with preliminary enrollment of 6,059, more than a 15% increase for the 2024 fall semester. With the second Fall term still to register, this marks the highest enrollment figure since 2011.
Mariah Whitley began pursuing a Paralegal degree as a single mother at the age of 29. She is now enjoying a successful corporate law career.
Midland College's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, in collaboration with Reflection Ministries, is hosting a crucial community event titled "Voices: Stories from Survivors of Human Trafficking" on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. The event will take place in Room 101 of the Marie Hall Academic Building at Midland College.
