Midland College Pre-K Academy Announces Spring Tour DatesFebruary 17, 2025

Midland College announces that it will offer tours of the Pre-K Academy at MC on March 5, March 19, and March 26, 2025 from 4:30-5 p.m. These tours will give prospective parents and families an opportunity to explore the facility, meet with staff, and learn about the programs available for three- and four-year-old children.

The Pre-K Academy at Midland College is designed to provide young learners with a nurturing environment that prepares them for future academic success. The program is open to children who turn 3 or 4 on or before Sept. 1 of the academic year. In addition to the state-funded Pre-K option for qualifying families, the academy also accepts tuition students at $700 per month.

“We realize the increasing need in our community for quality educational opportunities for three- and four-year-olds,” said Amber Harmon, Executive Director of Early Childhood Education at Midland College. “The Pre-K Academy at MC provides a family atmosphere with high-quality staff who are passionate and dedicated to preparing young learners for success in Kindergarten and beyond.”

The Pre-K Academy’s evidence-based, state-approved curriculum focuses on individualized support, creating a learning environment where each child’s unique needs are met. The program emphasizes culturally responsive teaching and nurturing adult/child interactions, reinforcing the College’s commitment to providing access to high-quality education that leads to student success.

For working parents, the Pre-K Academy also offers after-school care from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for an additional $250 per month.

Families interested in enrolling their child in the Pre-K Academy are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming tours to learn more about the program and eligibility requirements. For those interested in qualifying for the state-funded Pre-K program, please bring relevant documents such as proof of income and residency.
