Midland College is proud to announce the appointment of Luis D. Sánchez as the new Director of the Cogdell Learning Center (CLC) in south Midland. Sánchez, a native of Midland's Southside and a longtime community leader, brings a wealth of experience in education, public service, and community engagement to the role.

What Winter Weather Reveals About Energy, Training, and Readiness

Behind the scenes of the winter storm most of Texas is facing we're reminded once again how much we depend on reliable, dispatchable energy and on the people who keep it running. Based on the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) dashboard data during peak demand and analysis from energy analyst David Blackmon, natural gas supplied roughly 60% of total power generation on the ERCOT grid during the harshest conditions of the storm.
