Laurie Fitzgerald was inspired to teach by her Midland College sonography instructor. She enjoys seeing her students’ faces and interacting with them. She used programs to present that have interactive quizzes and games. She also lets her students build hands-on models of different body parts in the classroom.

She is happiest traveling, reading, attending concerts, and going to the movies. Her hidden talent is playing the harp. She loves any beach, sitting and listening to the waves — it is the most relaxing thing she does. Remaining on her bucket list are: going to Israel and seeing Niagara Falls. She loves the RockHounds’ games. “Nothing better than eating hotdogs, peanuts and watching baseball,’ she explained.
