Midland College is excited to announce that its recent participation in the Tall City Invitational successfully raised $600 for Alumni Scholarships. This fundraising achievement underscores the continued support and enthusiasm of the Midland College Alumni and Former Students Association in fostering educational opportunities for current and future students.

The Tall City Invitational, held on Sept. 7, was a thrilling new event that brought the Midland community together in a spirit of camaraderie to support a local business. The funds raised will directly benefit the Alumni Scholarships, offering crucial financial support to deserving students striving to achieve their academic goals at Midland College.

Building on this momentum, Midland College is excited to invite the community to its next Alumni Network event – the Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals  "Ooky Spooky 5k and 1 Mile," scheduled for Oct. 12 on the Midland College campus. The MC Alumni Network will be set up and ready to engage alumni, students, and local residents in a Halloween-themed run/walk helping to save the lives of Midland’s homeless cats and dogs.

“We are grateful for the incredible support we received at the Tall City Invitational, which demonstrates the strength and generosity of our local community,” said Katherine Prementine, Alumni Relations Coordinator at Midland College. “As we look forward to the Ooky Spooky 5k, we are excited to continue this tradition of community engagement and fundraising. This event will be a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow alumni, learn more about Midland College, and support our scholarship fund.”

Participants of the Ooky Spooky 5k are encouraged to dress themselves and their four-legged friends in their best Halloween costumes, making for a festive and memorable experience.
