Midland College is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the West Texas Food
Bank's College Roadshow at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center on Tuesday, September
17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free event is open to the public and aims to support
students and community members with a variety of resources and services.
The West Texas Food Bank will be distributing free produce, supplies, and applications
for the Pantry. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about signing up
for SNAP benefits. Additionally, a free lunch will be provided while supplies last.
Joseph Granado, Vice President of Student Services at Midland College, emphasized
the significance of the event: "This event helps students and members of our community
connect with local agencies, like the West Texas Food Bank, while also providing information
about support services that address a wide variety of needs, such as food and housing
insecurity, medical and mental health services, financial services, and more. We,
at Midland College, understand that students face a range of challenges, and this
event is designed to help provide community resources that support their success both
in and out of the classroom."
