Midland College is excited to announce that it will host the Texas Association of
Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO) College Night on September
25, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center.
This event provides a unique opportunity for high school students and their families
to connect with over 70 colleges, universities, and workforce training companies.
Attendees will have the chance to explore a wide range of post-secondary opportunities,
gaining valuable insights into various educational pathways and career options. Representatives
from numerous institutions will be on hand to answer questions, discuss programs,
and provide information about admissions processes.
“This event embodies our commitment to fostering community, enhancing student success,
and ensuring access to various educational pathways,” said MC President Dr. Damon
Kennedy. “We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to explore their
options and find the right fit for their future, and College Night is an excellent
platform to facilitate those connections.”
Parents and guardians are encouraged to accompany their students to help facilitate
discussions about future educational opportunities. This event is an excellent way
for families to navigate the often-complex landscape of post-secondary education.
"We're thrilled to bring together such a wide-ranging group of educational institutions
and workforce training programs," said Emily Thoms, Director of Recruitment and Outreach
at Midland College. "This event is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore
their options and envision their futures."
In addition to learning about academic offerings, students will also be eligible to
enter scholarship and prize drawings throughout the evening, making this an event
not to be missed!
