Midland College Cosmetology Program Hosts Breast Cancer Awareness FundraiserOctober 23, 2024

Throughout October, Midland College Cosmetology students are raising awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by offering pink hair extensions. Each extension costs $5 (cash only), with proceeds benefiting Permian Basin Gifts of Hope Midland, a local organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients physically, mentally, and emotionally.

"We are proud to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by offering pink hair extensions," said Michael Fields, Midland College Program Chair of Cosmetology. "This initiative not only allows our students to practice their skills but also gives them the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community. We hope our contributions will bring hope and support to those affected by cancer through Permian Basin Gifts of Hope."

The pink hair extensions will be available until October 31, 2024. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Cosmetology lab. For other services, appointments can be made by calling (432) 685-6721.
