For over 30 years, Midland College has welcomed the community to its annual Holiday
Evening, a cherished tradition celebrating the season with friends, family, and neighbors.
This year, MC will continue the tradition on Thursday, Dec. 5, with a festive, family-friendly
evening filled with holiday activities — all free and open to the public.
Highlights of this year's event:
- Meet Santa Claus: Kids and families can meet Santa, take photos, and share holiday wishes. (A professional photographer will take pictures with Santa and have them available
for immediate download.)
- *New this year* – Hayrides: Cuddle up with loved ones on a scenic hayride across the beautifully decorated MC
campus.
- Hot Cocoa & Cookies: Complimentary holiday treats will be available to keep everyone warm and merry.
- Art Show: Explore the artistic creations of MC’s talented students in a seasonal gallery display.
Also shop the Art Hallway to purchase unique items created by MC art students.
- Free Concert: Enjoy a live concert featuring holiday favorites from the Chap Singers and Jazz
Ensemble will fill the night with music and cheer.
"Hosting Holiday Evening for over three decades has been our honor,” said MC President
Dr. Damon Kennedy. “This event is a special opportunity for us to bring the community
together and spread joy during the holiday season.”
In addition to all the free activities, the Midland College Alumni and Former Students
Association will be hosting a $7 Frito-pie fundraiser during the event. All proceeds
from the fundraiser will directly benefit the Alumni Scholarships, offering crucial
financial support to deserving students striving to achieve their academic goals at
Midland College..
MC’s Holiday Evening is open to everyone in Midland and the surrounding areas, and
with all activities being free, it’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.
