Midland College is proud to announce an upcoming event designed specifically for local homeschool families. On Tuesday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the college will host a free come-and-go event at the Fasken Learning Resource Center (the library) on the Midland College campus. The event will feature campus tours and introductions to some of the most valuable resources available at MC. This initiative highlights the college’s commitment to providing access and support for all students, including those in the homeschool community.

“We are thrilled to continue serving our local homeschool community.” said Justin Bateman, Associate Vice President of Instructional Support at Midland College. “Midland College is committed to providing students with the resources and support needed to succeed academically. This event is a great way for families to learn about the dual credit opportunities available to homeschool students and explore how our programs can help them achieve their goals.”

The event will offer participants a chance to explore Midland College’s campus, speak with faculty and staff, and discover how the college supports students through various academic and career-focused resources. In addition to the campus tour, attendees will be introduced to the benefits of dual credit programs, which allow students to earn college credit while still in high school.

“Our mission at Midland College is to ensure access to higher education for all students,” said Amy Webb, Director of Dual Credit Partnerships. “We are especially excited to offer free dual credit to our homeschool families, helping them get a head start on their academic journey. It’s an opportunity for students to save time and money while pursuing their educational goals.”

Midland College continues its dedication to student success by fostering a supportive environment for all members of the community. This event reflects the college's ongoing efforts to expand access to educational opportunities and encourage lifelong learning.

“We are committed to helping students thrive and reach their full potential,” said Bateman. “We look forward to welcoming families to campus and showcasing the many ways Midland College can support them on their path to success.”

Families are encouraged to register for the event on the MC Website.
