Midland College is excited to introduce the reimagined Chaps Athletic Club, a community of supporters devoted to a greater fan experience of Midland College athletics. The club contributes to the legacy of Chaparral Athletics, strengthening the connection between the community and the student-athletes.
 
“Athletics bring us together, showcasing the resilience and spirit of the Midland community,” said Dr. Jaime Águila, MC Director of Community and Family Engagement. “The Chaps Athletic Club has been reimagined to bring that community closer to the action.”
 
Student-athletes across all six men’s and women’s sports programs at Midland College excel in competition, including the current No. 1-ranked golf team and the 2024 WJCAC Conference Champion baseball team. The Chaps Athletic Club provides opportunities for the community to connect with these athletes, supporting their pursuit of excellence and national recognition.
 
The revamped club offers exciting membership packages that allow fans and community members to engage with MC athletics while enjoying exclusive benefits. “Our new membership levels offer more ways than ever to connect with our student-athletes and experience the thrill of MC sports,” said Águila.
 
Membership begins at $150 and includes free admission to all Midland College home games, official MC gear, and exclusive access to catered dinners during home basketball games.
 
Those interested in becoming a member of the CAC can fill out the Chaps Athletic Club Interest Form.
 
The new Chaps Athletics Club will host its inaugural event, Reimagine Night, on Thursday, Jan. 9, as Midland College Basketball kicks off conference play against Howard College. The action starts with the Lady Chaps at 5:45 p.m., followed by the Chaps men’s team at 7:30 p.m. Stay tuned for more exciting details.
