Midland College recently held its traditional pinning ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the December 2024 graduates of the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program. The pinning ceremony, a time-honored tradition in the health care community, symbolizes the students' transition from nursing students to healthcare professionals, signifying their readiness to make a difference in the world of health care.

The ceremony honored the dedication and perseverance of these students who have successfully completed one of the most challenging programs in the field of health care. Each graduate received their nursing pin as a symbol of their commitment to providing compassionate and skilled care to their communities.

"Words can't fully express how proud I am of this exceptional class of ADN students as they reach this monumental milestone," said Cindy Madewell, Dean of the Associate Degree Nursing program at Midland College. "Their hard work and passion for nursing have set them apart, and I know they will make an incredible impact on the health care community."

Health care is a fundamental part of every community, and the health care professionals who dedicate their lives to it have an immeasurable impact on the well-being of individuals, families, and society as a whole. At Midland College, we are committed to preparing our students to meet the growing health care needs of the Permian Basin and beyond, helping to address workforce shortages and contribute to a healthier future for all.

The ADN program at Midland College continues to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training necessary to succeed in the rapidly evolving field of nursing. With the support of dedicated faculty and staff, these graduates are ready to enter the workforce and make an immediate, positive impact in the health care industry.
