Korthauer has only taught online classes so that is her preference. She tries to keep students interested by answering questions quickly, returning graded items with feedback as soon as possible and by being available to the students.

She loves to travel, scuba dive, listen to music, ride bicycles, and be with her family. She is happiest at home listening to music. She loves tropical climates with beaches, such as the Caribbean, “because the ocean is soothing to sit by and listen to the waves roll in.” Her bucket list is to scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
