AJ Castillo Concert
Friday, August 26

Chaparral Center (Entrance Gates 1 and 2)
The Office of Student Activities, in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary Celebration Committee, will host Tejano superstar, AJ Castillo, and hometown teen sensation, Tejano Music Award winning artist Tristan Ramos, live and in concert as we welcome students back to campus.
This concert is FREE and open to the public.
- Preferred seating available for current MC students with an MC student ID (students may bring one guest)
- Free t-shirt for first 100 MC students with an MC student ID
- Local Food Truck Favorites (only food and beverages provided by these vendors will be permitted)

Vendor Registration
Chaps Connect is one of only a few opportunities community agencies are invited to campus as introduction to their causes, services and support they provide students, and employment/volunteer opportunities. Vendor registration is required. Registration deadline: Monday, August 22
There is no cost for registration, and includes:
- 1 Table
- 2 Chairs (additional chairs available upon request)

Student Leadership Institute (SLI) Special Feature: Reproductive Rights Round Table Talk
Thursday, September 1
7 pm
Carrasco Room, Scharbauer Student Center (SSC)
(This is a private event, open to current Midland College students only.)
In this round table discussion, students will listen to perspectives from both sides of the Reproductive Rights conversation. We hope this open dialogue inspires students to take interest in social/political issues, consider their personal convictions on the topic, and explore opportunities for activism if they are so lead; while introducing them to civil discourse of opposing opinions.
In Partnership with Midland College Government Department.

The Office of Student Activities is launching the Midland College Student Leadership Institute this fall with a mission of, “creating a culture of connectedness, collaboration, and community” (Campbellville Univ., 2019), by inspiring and empowering students to take active roles in influencing and shaping educational and co-curricular experiences.

- Attend Quarterly President’s Council Meetings
- Meet at least one Student Activity student learning outcome
