Leslie  GoodrumExecutive Director of Early Childhood Education, Pre-K Academy

Leslie has lived in Midland for 20 years and has been a public-school educator and administrator for 35 years. Most recently she was the elementary school principal for Greenwood ISD. Prior to that she was with Midland ISD for 18 years where she taught at Santa Rita Elementary School and was the principal at Rusk Elementary School and General Tommy Franks Elementary School.

“Impacting the lives of young children is very rewarding,” Leslie said. “Coaching teachers and helping them become successful educators also brings joy to my life.”

Leslie began working at MC on July 18. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in Educational leadership from the University of North Texas.

She and her husband Kevin have two grown children. Their son Ryan is a Texas State graduate who lives in Dallas and is an engineer for Nucor Steel. Their daughter Bailey is a Texas Tech graduate and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Texas Tech to become a Speech Pathologist.

Leslie loves college sports and is an avid Texas Tech Red Raider fan. Being a true Texas Tech alum, she also loves Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs! She and her family enjoy spending time at Possum Kingdom Lake
