Tony  GilesDepartment Chair, Associate Professor, Geology

As a graduate teaching assistant at Washington State University, Antony Giles honed his interest in teaching geology. He prefers teaching face-to-face in a traditional classroom because of the interaction with students. He uses humor to engage his students and help make geology more relevant to them.

He cares about environmental and population issues as well as education, especially STEM programs. He enjoys traveling, primitive camping, hiking, kayaking and fossil finding. His bucket list starts with driving and camping around Australia and New Zealand.
