Frank De La O’s interest in history did not come from one specific source, but he credits his father with his love of television’s historical documentaries. He tries to maintain a laid-back atmosphere in his classes. While he has some rules in place, he doesn’t mind being interrupted or answering questions in the middle of a lecture. When more participation and interaction occur, the students can see that he has a sense of humor.

College football and professional baseball are the sports he enjoys watching — specifically Texas A&M athletics and the Chicago Cubs. Taking a road trip from Maine to California, preferably in an RV, tops his bucket list.
