Spring Interim, Summer & Fall Registration 2018

Spring Interim, Summer & Fall Registration 2018Status Update

Midland College is undergoing a software system upgrade to Better serve you.

We can't thank our students enough for your patience during this time. We know that this upgrade will allow us to better serve our students; however, we are still working on various issues as we come online. If you are having difficulty, we have provided some troubleshooting steps below. Please do not hesitate to contact us if the following does not work. As you can imagine, our email and phones are a little nuts, so please be patient for a call/email back.

Students waiting on Application Processing

We are THRILLED to announce that we are processing applications! There are still kinks and errors to be smoothed out. We have hired temporary help and have other employees helping us work through the applications. We are processing Summer applications first, then Fall. It may still be two or more weeks for us to catch up. Please check with enroll@midland.edu if you have not heard from us within a week.

There are two issues that we are working with the software company to resolve. If you applied in March or April and are not cleared to register, there is an issue/error with your file. We are trying desperately to get these through the system. You can try to reapply, but we recommend starting from scratch with a brand new profile.  If you are a returning MC student and completed the app to update your record, let us know by sending an email to enroll@midland.edu

If you have not attended Midland College and will be joining us this summer, or if you attended in the past, but did not attend during the most recent Fall or Spring semester you will need to complete an application at www.applytexas.org.

Registration Directions

Our web portal is open for registration. There are still some bugs, but we encourage students to try registering on the web by logging into My MC Portal. If you have any trouble with the web registration, please follow these instructions:

How to Make a Payment

Be sure to login to your My MC Portal account to arrange payment to avoid being dropped for nonpayment.  Make sure your pop up blocker is turned off.

In the portal, once you select the term “2017-2018 Academic Year-Summer” or “Summer-Spring Interim” link it will direct you to the Herring Bank website to make the payment. Make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off so the Herring Bank website is able to pop-up. The Herring Bank website may ask you to reset your password or create a new one, so make sure you are able to access your MC email. We recommend using either Internet Explorer or Firefox.

  1. Login to the My MC Portal at mymcportal.midland.edu
  2. Once logged in, click the “Students” tab at the top.
  3. Off to your left hand side you will see “Make a Payment/My Account Balance” in the top gray box, click on this link.
  4. Select the term “2017-2018 Academic Summer” or “Summer-Spring Interim”
  5. Make sure your pop-up blocker is off because once you select the term it will direct you to the Herring Bank website to make payment.
  6. You may have to reset the password to the Herring Bank website. Make sure you are able to access your MC email account because that is where they will send your temporary password.
