Herbert L. Cartwright Education Continuance Scholarship

Graduating Legacy Fellows are eligible to apply for the Herbert L. Cartwright Education Continuance Scholarship.

This prestigious scholarship awards up to $6250 per semester (reduced by the amount of Pell Grant, Scholarships, or other academic awards) at a public university in Texas. The total award is based on cost of attendance of the school attended and personal situation.

The scholarship is renewable for two years and continues only for the four semesters after leaving Midland College, fall and spring only, or completion of a bachelor's degree. Awards are competitive and not guaranteed.

INITIAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

LEGACY FELLOWS RECIPIENT

Be a Legacy Fellows recipient in good standing.

GRADUATE WITH AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE FROM MC & PARTICIPATE IN GRADUATION CEREMONY

  • Application/Intent to Graduate
  • Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

APPLICATION

Complete the Graduating Sophomore Scholarship Application.

LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION

Submit at least 2 letters of recommendation.

FAFSA/TASFA

Complete a Federal Aid Application. The Student Aid Report must be attached to the application.

UNIVERSITY LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE

Be accepted to a four-year public university in Texas. The acceptance letter must be attached to the application.

SELECTED CANDIDATES WILL BE INTERVIEWED BEFORE THE AWARDS ARE GRANTED
