Health Information Management was supposed to be a temporary, summer job after college for Elizabeth "Betsy" Neichter, because she majored in a different field. But, five years later, she was still working in health information management, and went back to school to align her education with that field.

She has taught face-to-face, hybrid classes and online — each has their own unique rewards and challenges. She is a distance education instructor who lives in Kentucky.

She likes to read. She is an expert embroiderer and teaches classes in 16th-century blackwork and Hardanger embroidery. She loves traveling to Botswana. “There is nothing more beautiful than seeing nature; real wildlife. Seeing elephants in the wild changes your life.”
