Tommy  BranonAdjunct Instructor, Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aviation Maintenance Technology Office, Midland International Airport

Tommy Branon attended the Midland College Aviation Maintenance program as a student in 2002 and 2003. When he graduated, his instructor asked if he would be interested in a part-time teaching position; he said “yes.” He prefers the traditional classroom especially for the subject matter he teaches saying, “Do you want to fly in an airplane that was worked on by a student who learned online instead of learning hands on in a classroom/shop?” We recruit and keep the students because of the hands-on instruction they receive.

He likes to hunt and fish. He is happiest relaxing and working in his yard. He supports the Make a Wish Foundation. His favorite vacation spots are Colorado and Wyoming because his children and grandchildren live in those places. Number one on his bucket list: a river cruise through Europe.
