Enhancing our Community for 50 Years

Enhancing our Community for 50 YearsMC Foundation

Your support for Midland College’s continued growth is an important gift that impacts all of us.

In December 1972, Midland voters approved the formation of the Midland Junior College District. In October 1973, Midland College broke ground on a 114-acre site near the intersection of Wadley and Garfield for the first four campus buildings.

Since those humble beginnings, Midland College has grown to encompass over 200 acres of classroom, laboratory, research, student services and student life space. The beautiful campus grounds are also enjoyed by all members of the community.

Midland College continues to make capital improvements and build new buildings to meet the educational, career preparation, continuing education and cultural enrichment needs of our community.

Your financial help is needed with two of our recent capital projects: the renovation of the Jack E. Brown Conference Hall and the new Pre-K Academy & Center for Teaching Excellence.

Capital Projects

Jack E. Brown Conference Hall

The Conference Hall is scheduled to open in July 2023 and will be the new location of the Midland College Petroleum Professional Development Center (PPDC) and our Workforce Continuing Education department.

Pre-K Academy & Center for Teaching Excellence

The Center opens in August 2023 and will provide state-of-the-art space for quality education for approximately 300 three- and four-year-old children. The Teaching Excellence Center on the second floor will provide exemplary professional development for educators in the Permian Basin and will be the home of Midland College’s new Bachelor of Applied Science program in Early Childhood Education.
