Midland College invests in the quality of life in Midland. The Phyllis & Bob Cowan Performing Arts Series and the Davidson Distinguished Lecture Series recruit renowned performers and speakers to the campus for free community concerts and lectures. The campus is also home to the McCormick Art Gallery and co-produces theatre presentations with Midland Community Theatre. The college’s newly renovated Al G. Langford Chaparral Center is the largest public facility of it's kind in Midland, and hosts concerts, trade shows and sporting events.

Opening Reception: " Landscapes by David Brady"
Thursday June 13 • The public is cordially invited to visit MC's McCormick Gallery on Thursday, June 13th, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., and enjoy complimentary refreshments (including brownies and lemonade) while viewing the beautiful landscape oil paintings by native Midlander David Michael Brady.

Saturday, June 15 • The Midland College Business & Economic Development Center (BEDC) will celebrate Homeownership Month in June by hosting a Homeownership Fair on Saturday, June 15 at Midland College Cogdell Learning Center.

Thursday, June 20 • The Midland's Legacy Scholarship Program at Midland College will host a pair of orientations - one for students, and the other for volunteer agencies - in the Carrasco Room, Scharbauer Student Center.

July • It's a great opportunity for development, exercise and FUN. Sign-ups are underway now for summer sports camps conducted by MC coaches, staff and student-athletes.

THEA/COMPASS Test Preparation Class
July 15-25 • Free THEA/Compass Preparation classes to help you increase academic skills and possibly place out of one or more developmental classes. Students are provided with the opportunity to improve their skills in reading, math, and language arts. There are no fees for this class or any AE program.

MC-BEDC Homebuyer Education Class
Saturday, July 20 • This summer, the Midland College Business and Economic Development Center (BEDC) will once again be offering its Homebuyer Education Class. This course is recommended by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and taught by certified trainers.
